One of the best of '93
Not just being biased b/c I was there with an awesome floor seat. This is one of the stronger all around post summer '90 shows. First set is about as good
...
as you can hope for from both song selection and performance. Bertha is exceptional, Peggy-O, Broken Arrow, Loose Lucy and Casey Jones all are great! Second set is real good too take out Corina and I Fought The Law and 2nd set is near perfect. Great Eyes and awesome and only Comes of Time of 93 and the only one I ever saw. This is one of the shows I always go back to and love. Can't say that about many post Brent shows..

Excellent late era show

and got to see/hear stuff like this performed in the real were fortunate souls indeed. The gorgeous sound quality, the energy of the crowd, the funny sideshows that were going on before, during and after and a veggie burrito on the way out...how much better could it get? I wasn't at THIS show, but it reminds me so much of plenty that I did attend. The whole performance is wonderful, but I'm especially energized by Jerry's long solo on Bertha...and everyone comps him perfectly (listen to Vince backing him up). Well, I'm going to finish listening to the rest with particular attention to Broken Arrow and Comes A Time.

It was a magical night.
Huge scene. Impossible to get a ticket. Many friends were shut out. We sat about 10th row right in line with Garcia and man, did this show ever rock. Incredible
...
first set right from the get go. Best modern Loose Lucy ever. Best modern Casey Jones. Best Queen Jane. Even the Same Thing had something good to offer. Second set didn't drop off- Eyes was muscular, Estimated off the charts- listen to the jam in it and Bobby's vocal jam afterwards which wound down nicely into what is as sweet as it comes - Comes A Time. This one melted me. And still does. Post space wasn't spectacular although the Watchtower sure rips and this was the best of all the renditions of IFTL. By far. I saw over a 100 shows in the 90's and this was my second favourite behind Giants 91 when they opened with Eyes and wove Dark Star through the whole show. Listen to this sometime. It'll put a smile on your face that only love can fill. peace.

I don't understand why people so quickly dismiss the 90s. Yes, 1994 and 1995 were rather poor years. However, they were still playing some great shows

through 1993! This is no 5/27/93, but this show once again proves that the boys could still melt faces well into the 90s. The boys show real energy throughout most of the show. Jerry lays down some remarkable solos, and the band tightly jams throughout. Excellent versions of Estimated, Cassidy, and a top ten Queen Jane for sure. Sound is great. Only weak moments are Jerry's singing, Broken Arrow, and the post space section. Solid 4 stars. 1993 has got to be the most underrated year of the Grateful Dead.

My favorite venue!
It was extremely hard getting tickets for Albany shows. We were denied mailorder so we had to drive to Kingston, NY about a 3 hour drive from my NJ home
...
to the nearest ticketmaster. When you arrived they gave you a ticket number and were told to stand in line. We waited for about an hour and a half. They made an announcement, 20 people were to recieve tickets, too bad there were 500 people online. My friend was one of the lucky ones and I went to both nights. Score!!!! Albany shows were the shit. The city shut down are Knickerbocker and heads overwhelmed everything. One huge party. This show was not as good as the next night. I found the performance to be a bit uninspired, unenergetic and bit sloppy, maybe its just me. Even a bad Dead show was still a blast and one of the best anyone could spend ones time. 3/5 performance 4/5 sound 5/5 venue and crowd energy

never failed to amaze me. Loose Lucy & casey jones are definitely the highlights of this night. I know a lot of people will disagree w/ me, but I always loved I Fought the Law going back to when I was a kid & Mom used to play the original version. When the Dead started playing it I was happy as hell!!!! As always a great tribute to the original inc. drums for the six gun part. All around great show in a so-so year for the Dead w/ many ups & downs

there- The drums are a little hot in the mix and picking up those highs that ought to be hidden a bit more. We're hearing the mechanical attributes of the gear and not just the cymbals on the high hat perhaps. The danger of soundboards... you never know what the mix is gonna be like. This was a great show. My second to last time seeing Jerry. The new songs along with Casey and IFTL were a major treat. This version of Days Between makes up for the fact it never made it onto an album. My favorite version that I've actually heard. Still not a 5-star recording. It is a bit flat at times, but that's probably what was going on for the house sound. They don't mix at the board for the tapers after all... And that was probably a good thing.

kicks of a hot second set. The Comes A Time is excellent Probably the best of the Three or 4 they played in the 90's. Garcias solo was powerful and His licks at the end are sick and it ends smoothly nice segue into a very hot Corrinia. Post Drums are pretty average. Wpould have prefered a better encore. As far a the sound its a little to flat it just doesnt capture the excitement of the venue. Healy really fell off
